Terms of Service
Last updated: April 27, 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Athla ("Athla", "we", "us") and govern your access to and use of our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, signing in, or using any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization (a club, gym, school, league, or similar), you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" refers to that organization.
2. Accounts
You may register an Individual account (for athletes, parents, and independent coaches) or an Organization account (for clubs and other sports entities). You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service directly. Users under the age of majority in their jurisdiction must have a parent or guardian agree to these Terms on their behalf.
3. Organization ownership and structure
Organization owners may create a hierarchy of clubs, programs, teams, and classes within their organization, invite members, assign permissions, and manage rosters, schedules, and announcements. Permission levels (Owner, Admin, Manager, Staff, Viewer) carry the authority described in our product documentation.
Athla may seed the Service with publicly available information about real-world sports organizations to bootstrap discovery. The legitimate owner of any such seeded organization may submit a claim request to take over the listing, which Athla reviews on a case-by-case basis.
4. Content you provide
You retain ownership of content you post to the Service (rosters, announcements, photos, schedules, organization profiles). You grant Athla a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, display, and process that content solely as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
You are responsible for the content you post and for ensuring you have the rights to share it. You may not post content that is unlawful, infringing, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that violates anyone's privacy.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) misuse the Service or interfere with its normal operation; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or to other users' data; (c) reverse engineer or scrape the Service except as expressly permitted by law; (d) use the Service to send spam or unsolicited commercial messages; or (e) impersonate any person or organization.
6. Moderation
Organization admins moderate content within their own organization. Athla reserves the right, but is not obligated, to remove or hide content that violates these Terms or our community standards. We may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly or seriously violate these Terms.
7. Subscriptions and billing
Some features may be offered on a paid basis. Pricing, billing terms, and refund policy will be displayed at the point of purchase. Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable except as required by law.
8. Service availability
We work to keep the Service running reliably but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, outages, and third-party failures can cause temporary disruptions. Where possible we will give advance notice of planned maintenance.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion from your profile settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will do so.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Athla disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Athla's aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars. Athla is not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If the changes are material, we will give reasonable notice (for example by email or via an in-app notice). Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
